TOKYO -- Kobe Steel Ltd. said Tuesday that it has been asked by the U.S. government to submit documents related to a data fabrication scandal which has engulfed Japan's third largest steelmaker.

TOKYO -- An Air Self-Defense Force (ASDF) helicopter might have crashed in the sea off Hamamatsu of Shizuoka prefecture, central Japan, local media quoted government sources as saying.

The UH-60J helicopter belonging to the ASDF Hamamatsu base disappeared from radar some 30 km south of the base around 6:00 p.m. local time, said the report. (Japan-Helicopter-Crash)

GHAZNI, Afghanistan -- At least 15 Afghan security forces were killed and 12 others wounded after Taliban attacked with two car bombs a district office building in eastern province of Ghazni on Tuesday, police said.

NEW DELHI -- Indian police in southern city of Bengaluru Tuesday released a photo of one of the suspects in murder of senior journalist Gauri Lankesh, officials said.

The photo of the suspect wearing helmet riding a bike has been produced from surveillance video footage recorded near Lankesh's house on the day of her murder.

Reports said the special investigation team (SIT) which is probing the case with the help of a laboratory in the U.S. got a video grab of the suspect enhanced to the maximum possible level. (India-Journalist-Murder)

GARDEZ, Afghanistan -- Up to 20 people including policemen and civilians have been killed and 160 others injured on Tuesday in a suicide attack on a police center in Gardez city, capital of Afghanistan's eastern Paktia province, a local official said on condition of anonymity.
