Albania, Macedonia to intensify economic ties

SKOPJE, Oct. 17 (Xinhua) -- Macedonian Prime Minister Zoran Zaev and his Albanian counterpart Edi Rama have reached agreement on intensification of activity for holding a joint session of the governments of Macedonia and Albania in the near future, Zaev's press office informed Tuesday.

According to the press office of Macedonian government, both PMs voiced commitment for intensification of economic cooperation between the two countries and creation of conditions for the Euro-Atlantic integration of the entire region.

"The government of Macedonia will continue to promote relations of good neighborliness through a friendly spirit with which it will contribute further to regional development while aiming to pave the way to NATO and EU perspective as strategic goals of the state," stated PM Zaev.

Zaev and Rama also discussed on the opportunities of promoting economic and trade cooperation between the two countries.

The two PMs met on the sidelines of Summit100, a business initiative that gathers 100 most eminent business leaders from the region of southeast Europe.
