KUNDUZ, Afghanistan, Oct. 16 (Xinhua) -- At least six militants loyal to the Taliban group were killed and four others wounded following an Afghan forces' operations in northern Kunduz province, an official said Monday.
The security forces pounded one of the militants stranglehold in Imam Sahib district late Sunday night, leaving six fighters dead and four others injured, Ghulam Hazrat Karimi, press officer of 20 Pamir Division based in the area, told reporters.
Taliban militants are yet to comment on the incident.
Kunduz has been the scene of fierce fighting between security forces and militants over the past several months.
