First Bike Fest gathered all generations closer in BiH

SARAJEVO, Oct. 15 (Xinhua) -- Family day and mountain bike cross-country of cycling gathered all generations closer at the event "First Bike Fest" at the hill near the center of Bosnia and Herzegovina's (BiH) capital Sarajevo on late Sunday afternoon.

Dozens of young cycling enthusiasts enjoyed various workshops prepared for children where they were divided into three groups and learned about the fundamentals of bicyclism. Children competed in different styles of cycling and parents, as audience, supported them loudly.

After the competition, children engaged in "Search for the presents" game, where the three fastest ones who found boxes in the nearby park were given the presents.

Afterwards, mountain bike cross-country of cycling race started at the hill near the center of Sarajevo as Loren Keserovic won the first place, Nedim Dervisevic a second place and Amer Tokovic third place.

"I had a problem with the bicycle chain which took me a lot of time which I needed to catch up, but in the end I managed and won the first place," Loren Keserovic told Xinhua.

"We are very satisfied with the event, and we believe that it will become tradition in the future," President of "Giro di Sarajevo" Nisad Selimovic told Xinhua.

The organizers, holding this event for the first time, were aiming at engaging citizens in healthy lifestyle while helping them socialize through bicycle competitions and acquainted with rules and security measures of traffic regulations.
