JAKARTA, Oct. 13 (Xinhua) -- Young shuttlers from China and Malaysia will meet in the final of the badminton world junior championship in Indonesia on Saturday, Indonesian badminton association said here on Friday.

The Chinese team on Friday defeated Japan in semifinals of the tournament at the Amongrogo sport Stadium in Yogyakarta province of Indonesia with scores of 3-1, and Malaysia won against South Korea with scores 3-0.

"The match against Japan is very tight today (Friday). We have made preparation since 3 months ago, but our doubles players got difficulty. For singles competitions, we did our best," head coach for the Chinese junior team Wang Wei said in the website of the association.

"In women's singles, Malaysia has a good player. For the doubles, we think that we do not have any problem with Malaysia. Tonight (Friday night) we will discuss again the strategy in order to win the final," said Wang.

Manager of junior team of Malaysia Goh Yen Yen said that his team is ready to face China in the final and will deploy the best shuttlers.

"For tomorrow (Saturday) we will prepare our best players for both singles and doubles matches. Whoever our opponent tomorrow, we are ready to face them," said Goh.
