JALALABAD, Afghanistan, Oct. 11 (Xinhua) -- At least four militants affiliated with Islamic State (IS) group were killed and seven others wounded after special forces stormed insurgents' positions in eastern Nangarhar province on Tuesday, an official said Wednesday.
"The incident happened late on Tuesday, when Afghan commandos launched a cleanup operation in Dehbala district of Nangarhar province, killing four insurgents and wounding seven others," an army spokesman in the eastern region Shiraqa Faqiri told reporter here.
No troops or civilians have been harmed in the operation, the official asserted.
Taliban militants are yet to comment on the incident.
