Several Dutch schools evacuated following bomb alert

THE HAGUE, Oct. 10 (Xinhua) -- School buildings in several Dutch cities have been evacuated following bomb alert on Tuesday afternoon, reported Dutch media.

In Maastricht, a city in the southern border region, an international school was evacuated after a phone call came in at 13:00 local time, with an English-speaking person saying there was a bomb in the building. The fire alarm went off and everyone had to go outside.

A school in Eindhoven, a city in the South, was also cleared out of precaution after receiving bomb alert. The school is now unblocked after investigation, according to NU.nl.

In other cities including Utrecht, Leeuwarden and Haren, several educational facilities also received similar bomb alert. The Dutch police have started investigations, according to NU.nl.
