In its financial stability report, central bank experts noted that the activity of the banking sector and financial system in general was stable during the first six-month period of 2017.

According to them, sector's ability to withstand potential activity risks that may jeopardize its stability appeared good too.

"However, the analysis of determinant factors and stress test exercises suggest the need for on-going monitoring of their performance over time," bank experts underlined.

They added that the target of BoA report was to identify and assess the risks that financial system faces with and its infrastructure in order to give to the public authorities the opportunity of identifying the relevant measures for the necessary corrections.
