DAMASCUS, Oct. 2 (Xinhua) -- At least 15 people were killed on Monday by bombings that targeted a police station in the capital Damascus' Midan neighborhood, pro-government al-Ekhbariah TV reported.

Several suicide bombers detonated their explosive belts in front of the police station and inside, according to the report.

The capital Damascus has enjoyed relative peace in latest months, but explosions still rock from time to time.
