Dollar rises to near 113 yen line on higher U.S. yields

TOKYO, Oct. 2 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar rose to near the 113 yen line Monday in Tokyo on the higher U.S. Treasury yields.

At 5 p.m. local time, the dollar was quoted at 112.98-99 yen compared with 112.45-55 yen in New York and 112.45-46 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Friday. It moved between 112.54 yen and 113.06 yen during the day.

The euro fetched 1.1741-1743 dollars and 132.65-69 yen against 1.1808-1818 dollars and 132.85-95 yen in New York and 1.1793-1795 dollars and 132.62-66 yen in Tokyo late Friday afternoon.
