KUNDUZ, Afghanistan, Sept. 28 (Xinhua) -- Police district chief for Aliabad in Afghanistan's northern province Kunduz who was wounded in a Taliban ambush earlier this week lost life in hospital on Thursday, an official said.
"The police district chief of Aliabad district, Janagha Andarabi, who received critical injuries in his head following a Taliban ambush in Qazaq area of the district succumbed to his injuries Thursday morning in Balkh provincial hospital," said Kunduz provincial police chief Inamuddin Rahmani.
Elsewhere in the restive Kunduz province, four militants loyal to the Taliban were killed and six others wounded on Thursday, according to local officials.
The Taliban militants haven't commented.
