NEW DELHI, Sept. 27 (Xinhua) -- A passenger plane on Wednesday made an emergency landing at an airport in the central Indian state of Chhattisgarh after suffering a bird hit, officials said.
However, all passengers and crew members of the domestic flight operated by low-cost private carrier Indigo are safe, a senior aviation official said.
The Indigo flight made the emergency landing at state capital Raipur's airport en route to the eastern city of Kolkata soon after take-off, he said.
A probe has been ordered into the incident by India's civil aviation regulator, the official added.
The incident came days after a passenger plane of India's national carrier Air India went off the runway and rolled partly into a drain after landing at an airport in southern city of Kochi.
