RAMALLAH, Sept. 26 (Xinhua) -- Palestinian Prime Minister Rami Al-Hamdallah announced Tuesday the formation of ministerial committees that are mandated to retain control over crossings, security bodies and governmental departments in Gaza Strip.

He said at the beginning of the weekly cabinet meeting Tuesday in West Bank Ramallah city that the ministerial committees aim at "dealing with the consequences of the division and all civil, administrative and legal issues that have resulted of the division."

He stressed that in order for the government to undertake its responsibility in Gaza, it must start "without division of its tasks, responsibilities or mandate and to be able to spread its legal jurisdiction in accordance with the Basic Law, in all sectors and fields without exceptions."

The national unity government lead by Al-Hamdallah declared Monday that hat it is going to hold it's weekly cabinet meeting in Gaza city next Tuesday, for the first time.

Last week, Islamic Hamas movement declared in Cairo that it will dissolve the controversial Administrative Committee that was formed by members of Parliament last year.

This is not the first time that rival Palestinian parties; Hamas and President Abbas's Fateh party reach an agreement to put an end to the internal division, but none of the past agreements succeeded.
