ZHENGZHOU, Sept. 26 (Xinhua) -- Twelve people died and 11 others were injured after a truck ran into three minibuses on an expressway in central China on Tuesday.
The accident occurred on Tuesday morning on the Xinxiang section in Henan Province, on an expressway linking Beijing with Guangzhou, Henan expressway police said.
A truck ran over the barrier belt and crashed head-on into three minibuses on the other lane.
Twelve people died, and one passenger is critically injured while ten other sustained slight injuries. The injured people have been rushed to local hospitals.
Truck driver is in police custody.
