HERAT, Afghanistan, Sept. 26 (Xinhua) -- Two Afghan policemen were killed and two others wounded after a roadside bomb planted by militants struck their vehicle in western Herat province on Tuesday, police said.
"A police unit was patrolling in Ghorian district on Tuesday morning but it was targeted by a roadside bombing. As a result two policemen were killed and two others injured," Abdul Ahad Walizada, provincial police spokesman, told Xinhua.
A police vehicle was also destroyed in the blast. He blamed Taliban militant group for the attack.
