SINGAPORE, Sept. 26 (Xinhua) -- Singapore stocks closed lower on Tuesday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) dropping 0.12 percent or 3.87 points to close at 3212.04.
A total of 1.54 billion shares changed hands with a turnover of 889.9 million Singapore dollars (about 657.64 million U.S. dollars). Losers outnumbered gainers by 223 to 193.
The STI index went down 0.13 percent or 4.34 points to close at 3215.91 on Monday.
