BRUSSELS, Sept. 25 (Xinhua) -- Eight searches were conducted here leading to the arrest of one man, the federal prosecutor announced Monday.
Belgium's counter-terrorism unit, the DR3, conducted five searches in the Brussels district of Molenbeek as well as one in Anderlecht, Asse, and Jette Monday morning in a counter-terrorism file.
The federal prosecutor said that a man named Samil El Yaakoubi, known for being radicalized, had been arrested. He is to remain in custody for 24 hours until the judge takes a decision after examining the case.
