ALGIERS, Sept. 25 (Xinhua) -- Algerian Prime Minister Ahmed Ouyahia affirmed Monday his government's commitment to the application of the national reconciliation charter, official APS news agency reported.
Ouyahia made the remarks on Monday when he presented the government's plan of action to the Council of the Nation (Upper House).
He said in front of members of the council that "I declare on behalf of the Government our commitment to the national reconciliation charter."
Ouyahia appealed remaining terrorists to returning to their people and their families, adding that if they refuse to surrender, "they will be judged and condemned by the force of the law."
At the same time, he stressed that the government will do utmost to support army and security forces to cope with the threats from terrorists.
He pointed out that Algeria's experience in the field of national reconciliation "will be helpful to other countries and organizations that want to be inspired by it."
The Algerian government hopes to eliminate terrorist issues through peaceful means with as little bloodshed as possible.
While violence has declined in Algeria after many surrenders of radical Islamists, terrorist attacks continue to occur sporadically in different areas of the country.
