(170925) -- BEIJING, Sept. 25, 2017 (Xinhua) --Yang Zhihua (right) and his hired hand Tang Xiu'ai wait for people to buy cashmere leftover materials in Liulin Village of Youfang Town in Qinghe County, Xingtai City of north China's Hebei Province, Sept. 19, 2017. The payment is transfered through Alipay, or Zhifubao in Chinese, a third-party mobile and online payment platform. China took steady steps to fulfill its Internet Plus action plan, aiming to integrate the Internet with traditional industries. With the fast development of mobile internet, the campaign also created a new engine for rural economic growth in villages like Liulin. Villagers in Liulin Village, a small village some 400 km away from the nation's capital, are witnessing the changes brought by "Internet Plus". Nearly everyone adopt mobile payment methods to buy groceries, pay for the fees in the village, and shop through Taobao and other e-commerce platforms. More than one third of the villagers use Alibaba's Ant Financial to get loans based on their internet integrity credits. The loans are mainly used in expanding and upgrading their production. The villagers who used to inquire all over China to purchase cashmere can now get the price simply by using their mobile phones. An increasing number of young people flood back to their hometown and devote themselves to building an "Internet Plus" new village. (Xinhua/Liu Bin)
