SINGAPORE, Sept. 25 (Xinhua) -- Singapore stocks closed lower on Monday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) dropping 0.13 percent or 4.34 points to close at 3215.91.
A total of 1.85 billion shares changed hands with a turnover of 914.1 million Singapore dollars (about 677.07 million U.S. dollars). Losers outnumbered gainers by 241 to 155.
The STI index went up 0.2 percent or 6.43 points to close at 3220.25 last Friday.
