LONDON, Spet. 22 (Xinhua) -- The car hiring app firm Uber will not be issued a new private hire licence, Transport for London (TfL) said Friday.
TfL has concluded Uber was not fit and proper to hold a private hire operator licence after expiry of its current licence on Sept. 30.
TfL considers that Uber's approach and conduct demonstrate a lack of corporate responsibility in relation to a number of issues which have potential public safety and security implications.
Uber has 21 days to appeal, during which it can continue to operate.
