TOKYO, Sept. 22 (Xinhua) -- Tokyo stocks opened marginally higher Friday as a comparatively weak yen versus the U.S. dollar lifted blue chip exporter shares, which has a positive bearing on the broader market.

As of 9:15 a.m., the 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average added 39.13 points, or 0.19 percent, from Thursday to 20,386.61.

The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, meanwhile, gained 3.12 points, or 0.19 percent, to 1,671.86.

Real estate, bank, and oil and coal product-oriented stocks comprised those that gained the most in the opening minutes after the morning bell.
