HONG KONG, Sept. 19 (Xinhua) -- Famous Russian diamond miner ALROSA Tuesday showcased a 51.38-carat diamond in Hong Kong, which is Russia's largest polished diamond showcased here.

This 57-facet traditional round brilliant-cut diamond is the centerpiece of the Dynasty collection, which consists of five diamonds in total, produced from one 179-carat rough diamond, according ALROSA.

The collection will be sold at an online auction scheduled for November, 2017, while the lowest estimated price of the 51.38-carat diamond would be 10 million U.S. dollars, the miner said.

Evgeniy Tsybukov, deputy director of ALROSA, told a press meeting that the company has strategically chosen Hong Kong as the first stop of its global roadshow, given the significance of developing a strong economic partnership with the Asia Pacific region.

Tsybukov said the diamond market in Asia has been recovering, and he expects the markets to be stable in the near term.

ALROSA is the world's largest producer of rough diamonds in carats. The company produced 37.4 million carats of rough diamonds in 2016.
