Sudan condemns London metro terror attack

KHARTOUM, Sept. 16 (Xinhua) -- Sudan on Saturday condemned the terror attack that took place at a London underground station Friday and caused at least 22 injuries.

"Sudan's Foreign Ministry expresses its strong condemnation towards the terrorist bombing which took place at London's underground station on Friday and resulted in many injuries," the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

The ministry described the incident as "a crime contradicting all humanitarian values and principles."

It expressed rejection to all terrorist acts and to terrorizing of innocent people as a matter that is rejected by all heavenly and international laws.

It further stressed Sudan's full solidarity with the British government in facing the criminal acts, urging the international community to intensify its effort and cooperation in the face of all forms of terrorist and criminal activities.

At least 22 people were injured on Friday after a bomb exploded during morning rush-hour at an underground station southwest of London.
