JALALABAD, Afghanistan, Sept. 13 (Xinhua) -- Six civilians were injured as a blast rocked Jalalabad city, the capital of eastern Nangarhar province, on Wednesday, spokesman for the provincial government Attaullah Khogiani said.
"Six people, all civilians, have been injured in the blast that rocked Jalalabad city at around 3 p.m. local time (1030 GMT)," Khogiani told reporters.
Without giving more details, the official said that an investigation was underway.
Meantime, Najibullah Kamawal, the head of health department in Jalalabad city, confirmed that one body and eight injured people had been taken to hospital.
