TOKYO, Sept. 13 (Xinhua) -- Tokyo stocks advanced Wednesday morning tracking gains on Wall Street overnight, with the yen's retreat agent the U.S. dollar giving exporter issues a boost and supporting the broader market.
The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average gained 93.20 points, or 0.47 percent, from Tuesday to 19,869.82.
The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, meanwhile, added 10.37 points, or 0.64 percent, to 1,637.82.
Bank, insurance and securities-linked issues comprised those that gained the most by the morning break.
