Dollar changes hands in lower 108 yen zone in early trade in Tokyo

TOKYO, Sept. 11 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar changed hands in the lower 108 yen zone in early deals in Tokyo on Monday, rising from its levels seen in New York at the end of last week.

As markets opened here, the dollar was quoted at 108.29-30 yen compared with 107.80-90 yen in New York and 107.74-75 yen at 5 p.m. on Friday in Tokyo.

The euro, meanwhile, fetched 1.2015-2015 dollars and 130.11-12 yen against 1.2032-2042 dollars and 129.66-76 yen in New York and 1.2048-2050 dollars and 129.81-85 yen in late Friday afternoon trade in Tokyo.
