VALLETTA, Sept. 6 (Xinhua) -- Malta's Customs Department destroyed almost 12 million contraband cigarettes on Wednesday.
The Customs Department has launched a campaign against the import, sale and consumption of smuggled goods, in particular tobacco products and wine.
Over the past two weeks, the Customs Department intercepted 5,900 cigarettes, 5.3 kilos of tobacco and 205 litres of contraband wine across the country.
