WASHINGTON, Sept. 6 (Xinhua) -- Vice Chairman of the U.S. central bank Stanley Fischer submitted his resignation Wednesday for personal reasons, giving U.S. President Donald Trump a chance to remake the leadership of the Fed board.
Fischer will also resign as a member of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System. His resignation will be effective on or around Oct. 13, 2017. Fischer is leaving before his term expires in June next year. Enditem
