SINGAPORE, Sept. 5 (Xinhua) -- Singapore stocks finished higher on Tuesday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) rising 20.29 points, or 0.63 percent, to close at 3251.26.
A total of 1.68 billion shares changed hands with a turnover of 840.1 million Singapore dollars (about 619.83 million U.S. dollars). Gainers outnumbered losers by 237 to 174.
The STI index went down 46.29 points, or 1.41 percent, to close at 3230.97 Monday. Enditem
