Indonesian cyclists to ride in Tour de DMZ in South Korea

JAKARTA, Aug. 31 (Xinhua) -- Six Indonesian cyclists will compete in the Tour de DMZ in South Korea next week, a top official said here on Thursday.

The international sport event is scheduled to be held from September 2nd to 6th.

The six athletes are under the management of the state-owned enterprise PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (PGN).

"We are proud to take part in sending our national athletes to compete in the international championship Tour de DMZ in South Korea," said Jobi Trianada Hasjim, president-director of PGN.

He said that the six cyclists have sufficient experience and had shown strong performance recently.

The Indonesian team departed for South Korea on Thursday.

The cyclists will ride a total of 402.6 kilometers during the tour.
