FRANKFURT, Aug.24 (Xinhua) -- German stocks rose on Thursday, with the benchmark DAX index up 6.53 points, or 0.05 percent, to close at 12,180.83 points.
German automotive manufacturer Daimler won the most among the blue chips, with its shares up 1.70 percent. European health care company Fresenius SE and automotive manufacturer BMW rose by 1.02 percent and 0.86 percent respectively.
European mass media company ProSiebenSat.1 lost the most among the blue chips, by falling 0.94 percent. Banking and financial services provider Commerzbank and energy group RWE went down by 0.72 percent and 0.69 percent respectively.
Daimler was the most-traded share with a turnover of 289.73 million euros (341.85 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
