NAIROBI, Aug. 19 (Xinhua) -- Kenya's new rugby 15s captain George Nyambua has warned his charges to be wary of revenge-seeking Hong Kong, China when they play their first World Rugby Test on Sunday in Nairobi.

South African head coach Jerome Paarwayter handed Nyambua who plays for domestic top-flight side Kabras Sugar RFC the armband when he named a vastly changed side on Wednesday.

The lock will lead the team known as Simbas (Lions) against The Dragons of Hong Kong who arrived in the Kenyan capital on Friday morning before they conducted a closed-door training session.

"It's going to be a tough match. We beat them last year in August and there is no doubt that they will come back harder and stronger," Nyambua told local press.

On the 17 changes made by Paarwater to the team that played Zimbabwe and Namibia in the last two 2017 Africa Rugby Gold Cup encounters raised a few eyebrows but the first-time captain reassured the team had quality to excel.

"They aren't any new faces in the team. We have all been training together since we began this campaign in May.

"Some have been making the team while others have not. We know each other and we just need to stick to the game plan. It is up to us to utilize all the resources we have to register a good result," Nyambua added.

Kenya and Hong Kong, China will face each other again in the second Test next Saturday (Aug. 26) before Simbas travel to China in November for a four-nation Test Series.

The match will kick off at 3pm local time (+3GMT) at the Rugby Union of East Africa Grounds in Nairobi.
