RABAT, Aug. 18 (Xinhua) -- Three Moroccan nationals were injured in a terror van attack in the Spanish city of Barcelona, official MAP news agency reported Friday.

The injured are two men and a 6-year-old child, who is in serious condition after he was rammed by the van, MAP said, citing a Moroccan consular source in Barcelona.

The boy, alongside his wounded father, lives in France and was on holiday in the Spanish city when the attack happened, while the other man resides in Spain.

On Thursday, a van ploughed into pedestrians in the Las Ramblas tourist district of Barcelona, leaving 14 dead and 130 injured, 18 of whom remain in critical condition, local media reported.

A total of 34 different nationalities were affected in the tragedy.

The Islamic State terror group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
