JAKARTA, Aug. 18 (Xinhua) -- Indonesian Tourism Ministry has embraced the United States-based digital technology firm Adobe Systems Inc., to facilitate cooperation with partners to make sure it achieves foreign visitor arrival targets, officials said Friday.

The Indonesian ministry connects its digital operational system with Adobe Experience Manager apps, allowing Adobe to have digital information and images of Indonesian destinations shared by internet-savvy visitors in their social media accounts.

The move would be greatly useful to further promote national tourism, Tourism Minister Arief Yahya said.

The Adobe apps would also facilitate quicker information sharing between the ministry and its business partners, among other airlines, he said.

"In initial phase using this application, we would set up cooperation with 10 airlines, including Garuda Indonesia and Air Asia," the minister said, referring to airlines that have significantly transported foreign visitors to several Indonesian destinations.

Extensive use of digital technology was among the ministry's three priority programs to bolster tourism. The other programs were air connectivity enhancement and provision of tourism villages.

The ministry has applied orchestrated efforts to boost foreign visitor arrivals in the nation's core industry of tourism, targeting at 15 million and 20 million ones in 2017 and 2019 respectively.

Adobe Asia Pacific Public Sector Managing Director Tony Katsabaris said the application would highly facilitate the travelers' eagerness to share their traveling experiences through storytelling information, photo and videos that would eventually useful for others.

"Through the Livefyre, tourism industry would see an unprecedented benefit as it can deliver latest contents to the targeted groups in such a quick moment. It has the capability of filtering billions of social media contents posted by travellers," he said, adding that Livefyre was a program featured in Adobe Experience Manager.

He added that the program is highly potential at present as 97 percent of travelers always share their experiences during their trips digitally through social media.
