MADRID, Aug. 18 (Xinhua) -- The Spanish Football League (La Liga) has demanded a minute's silence at the opening weekend match-ups of the 2017 Spanish Super Cup, which will go as planned following the terrorist attacks in Barcelona.

The website of La Liga said the league has asked the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) to hold a minute's silence for all games during the first weekend of competition.
