PHNOM PENH, Aug. 18 (Xinhua) -- Cambodian Foreign Minister Prak Sokhonn will pay a working visit to Russia on Aug. 23-24, where he will witness the signing of a number of bilateral cooperation agreements, said a foreign ministry statement on Friday.
In Moscow, Sokhonn will hold a meeting with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov to discuss bilateral relations and to exchange views on regional and international issues of common concern, the statement said.
The Cambodian top diplomat will co-chair with Russian Minister of Telecom and Mass Communication Nikolay Nikiforov the 10th meeting of the Cambodian-Russian inter-governmental commission on trade, economic, scientific and technical cooperation.
At the end of the meeting, a number of documents are expected to be signed, the statement said.
Among them are the agreement on cooperation in the field of the use of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes, the memorandum of understanding on environmental and natural resource protection, and the joint action program (2018-2020) for tourism development.
