BELGRADE, Aug.17 (Xinhua) -- Serbian side Partizan and Hungarian outfit Videoton played an even match on Thursday in Belgrade and ended the first leg of the playoffs for the UEFA Europa League with a nil draw.

The two teams made only a few efforts on goal - 5 in total, and their defensive gameplay resulted in a high number of committed fouls, with 17 each.

Partizan hosted Videoton behind closed doors after it was fined by UEFA earlier this month for the improper behavior of its fans in previous matches against Montenegrin side Buducnost and Greek club Olympiacos.

The second leg of the playoffs that lead to the group stage of the UEFA Europa League will be played on August 24 in Hungary, a day before the group stage draw.
