COPENHAGEN, Aug. 17 (Xinhua) -- Danish Prime Minister Lars Loekke Rasmussen on Friday expressed his shock over the Barcelona attack, which left 13 people dead and 50 others injured, including one Dane.
"My thoughts are with the victims in Barcelona and their loved ones," Rasmussen said on his Twitter account, noting that he was shocked to learn about "another evil attack in Europe".
The relatives of the Danish victim have been informed, according to Danish news channel TV2 citing sources with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Meanwhile, Minister for Foreign Affairs Anders Samuelsen also condemned the attack through Twitter.
"Appalled by the apparent terrorist attack in Barcelona. My thoughts are with the victims and their families. We stand with Spain!" Samuelsen said on Twitter.
