LONDON, Aug. 12 (Xinhua) -- France's Kevin Mayer claimed the men's decathlon title at the World Athletics Championships here on Saturday.
Mayer, 25, silver medalist at last year's Rio Olympics, collected 8,768 points for the gold medal. Germany's Rico Freimuth, bronze winner two years ago in the Beijing worlds, took silver in 8,564 points and his compatriot Kai Kazmirek won bronze in 8,488. Enditem
