HOHHOT -- At least five people were killed and 50 others injured after a cyclone swept through parts of north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, local government reported Saturday.
The cyclone wreaked havoc in four villages of Hexigten Banner and Ongniud Banner at 4 p.m. Friday, said the emergency response office of Chifeng City, which administers the two banners.

JINGMEN -- The TA600, a China-developed amphibious aircraft, passed a hydrodynamic test on Friday, marking a step forward toward its maiden flight.
