Auxiliary patrol brigade helps protect 60 finless porpoises in E China

Auxiliary patrolmen stand in line before start to patrol in the finless porpoise nature reserve in Anqing of east China's Anhui Province, Aug. 10, 2017. An auxiliary patrol brigade, among which 6 are former fishermen, began its mission June 2017 protecting the 60 finless porpoises along the 60-kilometer-long section of Yangtze River in the Province. Telephone application is used in their routine missions to track and observe the dolphin-like mammal's life, provide necessary protection and monitor the pollutant and illegal fishing in the reserve.
