RABAT, Aug. 10 (Xinhua) -- Brazil has set up a Brazil-Morocco Parliamentary Group at the Senate to boost cooperation between the legislative powers of the two countries, official MAP news agency reported on Thursday.
The president of the friendship group is Cristovam Buarque from the ruling Brazilian Socialist Party, MAP said.
"The establishment of this group reflects the importance the Brazilian senate gives to strengthening relationships with Morocco," Buarque said.
In recent years, bilateral relations have improved significantly between Morocco and Brazil, as the two countries are expected to enter into a series of agreements in defense and education.
