German shares lose 1.15 pct Thursday

FRANKFURT, Aug. 10 (Xinhua) -- German shares lost on Thursday, with the benchmark DAX index down 139.70 points, or 1.15 percent, to close at 12,014.30 points.

German chemical and consumer goods company Henkel lost the most among the blue chips, down by 3.81 percent, followed by global banking and financial services providers Deutsche Bank and Commerzbank, which lost 3.01 percent and 2.06 percent respectively.

German industrial giant Thyssenkrupp and European mass media company ProSiebenSat.1 were the only two winners, rising 1.12 percent, 0.62 percent respectively.

Manufacturing and electronics company Siemens was the most traded share of the day with a turnover of 336.74 million euros (395.06 million U.S. dollars). Enditem
