RAMALLAH, Aug. 9 (Xinhua) -- Two Palestinians were wounded by Israeli forces and 25 others were arrested during clashes in the West Bank, Palestinian sources said on Wednesday.
Fierce clashes broke out between dozens of young Palestinians and Israeli forces after the latter raided Al-Dugeisheh refugee camp in Bethlehem city overnight, the sources said.
Israeli military spokesperson Avichay Adraee said an Israeli soldier was wounded with friendly fire during the raid.
Israeli forces carry out almost daily raids into different West Bank cities, towns and refugee camps, usually for arrests. Palestinians slam the night arrests and describe them as "arbitrary."
In a village near Ramallah, settlers set two cars that belong to Palestinian ablaze overnight.
Head of the Palestinian village council of Um Safa, Marwan Sabbah, said the settlers came from nearby Jewish settlement of Ateret, destoyed the cars and sprayed hate messages calling for revenge from Palestinians and Arabs.
Israeli sources did not comment on the incident.
