ANKARA, Aug. 9 (Xinhua) -- A total of 12 suspected members of the al-Qaeda-linked al-Nusra Front group were arrested in Turkey's southeastern Diyarbakir Province on Tuesday, state-run Anadolu Agency reported late Tuesday.
The Diyarbakir Counter Terrorism Police unit launched the operation under an ongoing probe by the public prosecutor's office, Anadolu said.
Police also seized digital documents during the operation.
Turkey designates al-Nusra Front as a terrorist organization and continues fighting against the al-Qaeda-linked group, both inside and outside the country.
