TOKYO, Aug. 7 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar changed hands in the upper 110 yen zone in early deals in Tokyo on Monday, marginally higher than levels seen late last week in New York.
As markets opened here, the dollar was quoted as 110.79-81 yen compared with 110.61-71 yen in New York and 110.08-09 yen at 5 p.m. on Friday in Tokyo.
The euro, meanwhile, fetched 1.1777-1778 dollars and 130.49-50 yen against 1.1769-1779 dollars and 130.25-35 yen in New York and 1.1882-1883 dollars and 130.80-84 yen in late Friday afternoon trade in Tokyo.
