EgyptAir gets ready for 271 flights for pilgrimage season

CAIRO, Aug. 6 (Xinhua) -- EgyptAir company finalized preparations for the pilgrimage season as the first hajj flight will take off Wednesday from Cairo airport to al Madina al Munawara, MENA news Agency reported on Sunday.

Flights to Jeddah will start as of August 13, it said. The company has taken all necessary measures to provide comfort and special services to the pilgrims.

The seat capacity of the company during the season accommodates 63,000 pilgrims, Chairman and CEO of EgyptAir Safwat Musallam said.

Return flights will start as of September 6 and will end on September 22, he said.

The company will operate 271 flights including 143 to Jeddah and 128 to al Madina al Munawara, Head of EgyptAir Sherif Ezzat said. Enditem
