INDIA-KOLKATA-RAKSHA BANDHAN FESTIVAL-BLIND CHILDREN

Indian blind children celebrate the upcoming Raksha Bandhan Festival in Kolkata, capital of eastern Indian state West Bengal, on Aug. 5, 2017. The Hindu festival of Raksha Bandhan is celebrated on August 7 this year. Raksha Bandhan, meaning the bond of protection, is a festival to celebrate the relationship between brothers, cousins and sisters. At this festival, a sister ties a sacred thread on her brother's wrist, which symbolizes the sister's love and prayers for her brother's well-being, and the brother's lifelong vow to protect her.
