YANGON, July 30 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar has planned to implement livelihood and community development projects in northern conflict-beleaguered Rakhine state, official media reported Sunday.

Under the joint management of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation and French Partners Myanmar, the projects aim to provide cultivation technology to local farmers and better healthcare service to local people, the report said.

Other services including upgrading roads, water ponds, digging tube wells and promoting "Water, Sanitation and Hygiene" (WASH) awareness training courses in some townships in the state will also be provided.

The projects will also be implemented in Mandalay and Magwe regions, both located in middle Myanmar.

The projects, at an estimated cost of 3.6 million U.S. dollars, will be completed in 2020.
